This project is part of our NEO series, which stands for innovative and rigorously sustainable construction. NEO houses are prefabricated timber constructions that are planned and manufactured using the latest digital technologies. NEO uses the advantages of digitalisation to plan and build individual houses faster, more precisely and more sustainably.
In the mid to late 20th century, many single-family homes in Switzerland were built on plots of around 1,000m2. Due to the rise in property and land prices, such houses are often no longer affordable for young families today. In this project in Biel-Benken, we are dividing such a plot into three plots and densifying the buildings in such a way that three families will each have a house with a garden.
